Local Organic Food Demonstrations
Are you a chef who uses and promotes local, organic food ingredients?
- Do you have a tasty recipe that incorporates one or more local, organic ingredients?
- Would you like to share your recipe with the public during the first annual Oregon Green Expo?
The overall theme to keep in mind is that we want to feature at least one or more local organic fresh ingredients in every dish that is demonstrated. The time for each demonstration is limited so we recommend you plan a dish that is prepared easily. Some possible suggestions are wraps, salads, tarts, etc.
There will be demonstrations on Saturday, July 4. Each demonstrator has one and a half hour to be used in the following manner: set up, speak on food sustainability and your sources for local organic foods, the recipe selected, ECT, demonstration and clean up. If possible consider providing a tasting sample for audience.
We will have an area at the Armory set aside that will seat up to 15 people who can observe the demonstrations.
We Provide:
- Free publicity and exposure to consumers of local, organic foods.
- Main ingredient that will be provided by the Ashland Co op.
- A portable kitchen.
- Demonstration site at no cost to you.
- Printing of your recipe to hand out.
- Link from Oregon Green Expo web site to yours..
You Provide:
- A brief bio.
- A recipe we can reproduce as a handout at the demonstration for dish that you are demonstrating.
- Signage with your business name.
- Knives, cook ware and special ingredients you may want.
We look forward to your participation in The Oregon Green Expo!
